Your numbers

Rough figures are fine, and every box is optional. Fill in what you know and we add ratios such as margin and cash runway to your score. These figures are used only to build your scorecard.

Average of the last three months, before any costs.
What you paid for the goods or work you sold.
Salaries, rent, utilities, marketing and everything else.
All bank and e-wallet accounts plus cash on hand.
Unpaid invoices and credit sales.
Unpaid bills you are due to pay.
At cost, not selling price.

Profit & cash

Choose how true each statement is for your business today. How money moves through the business.

1.I know how much cash the business has, and I check it at least weekly.
2.We plan ahead with a simple budget or cash forecast for the next three months.
3.Overdue customer payments are followed up within a set number of days.

Books & reporting

How well your records tell you the truth.

4.Our books are brought up to date within 10 days after each month ends.
5.Bank, e-wallet and card accounts are reconciled to the books every month.
6.I receive and read a profit & loss statement and balance sheet every month.
7.Business money and personal money are kept completely separate.

Inventory & operations

How stock, purchasing and daily routines are controlled.

8.Stock is counted on a schedule and compared against our records.
9.We know our slow-moving items and set reorder points to avoid stock-outs and overstock.
10.Purchases and expenses are approved and backed by a document (PO, invoice or receipt).
11.Our key routines are written down, so work does not depend on one person.

Sales & marketing

How well you understand and win customers.

12.We know which products or customers bring the most profit, not just the most sales.
13.We track where our new customers come from.
14.A good share of our sales come from repeat customers, and we stay in touch with them.
15.Our online presence is current: Facebook page, Google listing and contact details are accurate.

Tax, systems & compliance

Taxes, permits and how safely your data is kept.

16.BIR returns and payments are filed on time, every time.
17.We issue an official receipt or invoice for every sale.
18.Business files and accounting data are backed up, and access is limited by role.
19.Permits and registrations (Mayor's permit, DTI/SEC, BIR registration) are current.

How we score

  • Your results are compared with benchmarks for the industry you pick, and shown with your size class under the Philippine Statistics Authority bands (micro under 10 employees, small 10–99, medium 100–199).
  • Net margin: NYU Stern (Damodaran) industry margins, Jan 2026. These are listed companies, so a small business at about half the benchmark already scores healthy.
  • Cash runway: JPMorgan Chase Institute median small-business cash buffer by industry.
  • Customer payment time: Credit Research Foundation and Hackett Group receivables surveys, as summarised by CreditPulse.
  • Stock days, cash against supplier bills, the 90-day cash target and the questions are Optivance rules of thumb.
  • Most benchmark data is from the US, so Philippine businesses may differ. It is an indicative self-assessment, not an audit or advice.

How we handle your information

  • No account, no password, no mailing list. We email the scorecard once.
  • The peso figures you enter are used to calculate your score and shown only in your own email. They are not sent to our team and not stored in a database.
  • Our team receives your name, email and scores. We contact you only if you tick the optional box.
  • It is an indicative self-assessment, not an audit or tax advice.
